Monarchs Edge Mercury, 61-60

Yolanda Griffith had 21 points and 17 rebounds and Ruthie Bolton-Holfield added 14 points Saturday night as Sacramento held off Phoenix, 61-60, before 9,480 at Sacramento.

The Monarchs, who play the Sparks today, improved to 15-9.

Brandy Reed led the Mercury (14-9) with 22 points.

Indiana 80, Charlotte 59--Gordana Grubin had 19 points, including a season-high four three-point baskets, and Monica Maxwell added 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Fever (6-17) defeated the Sting (5-18) before 12,671 at Indianapolis.

Cleveland 76, Miami 47--Mery Andrade had 13 points and three teammate scored in double figures as the Rockers (13-9) rolled to a victory over the Sol (9-15) before 11,735 at Cleveland.
