We recently moved to L.A., having lived in Houston for the past 26 years. We read with interest your July 21 article on Texas politics and Texas in general. It is always interesting to hear what people outside of Texas think of Texas.
Mentioned in this article are things we’ve never heard of: ideas of putting a mile-high air-conditioned dome over Loop 610? “A lot” of Texans want the Legislature to meet for two days every 140 years? These are amusing ideas, certainly, and make a good story, but we’ve never heard of them. Just curious which Texans you were talking to.
