The plan to develop one of Orange County’s last untouched pieces of coastal property has been revised to protect more of the environmentally sensitive wetlands on the 250-acre parcel.
The developer, Irvine-based Lusk Co., hopes the environmental modifications to the Marblehead coastal property will enable the project to stand up to California Coastal Commission scrutiny.
The City Council on Wednesday unanimously approved Lusk’s proposal to reduce the number of homes on Marblehead and install a drainage system to steer urban runoff away from beaches.
