WESTMINSTER

City Council members voted to deny a claim for more than $1 million brought against the city by a resident who suffered serious injuries from an accident involving a bicycle he was riding and a truck.

He alleges that the accident was caused by dangerous conditions and improper maintenance at the intersection of Edwards Street and Industry Way. The accident occurred in October.

The council also voted unanimously last week to approve the sale of property owned by the city Redevelopment Agency, for $1.5 million, for the development of Lexus and Honda dealerships. The property is at 7600 Westminster Blvd.
