A “Surf’s Up 2000” founder’s day parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday to celebrate Seal Beach’s 85th birthday. The lineup will feature Miss Seal Beach, the Los Alamitos High School Band, the Dixieland Band and Miss Los Alamitos. Local surfers will also be honored in the parade, which will march around the greenbelt at Main Street and Electric Avenue. Information: (562) 431-2527.
