Funeral Services Set for Cancer Victim, 11

Funeral services for 11-year-old David Junghans, who died of a brain tumor Monday, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ Presbyterian Church in Huntington Beach.
The Times wrote about David in June 1999, when his wish as a child with a terminal illness was to observe his doctor perform brain surgery.

Instead of flowers or gifts in memory of David, parents Susan and Mike Junghans suggested donations to the Neuroscience Institute at Children’s Hospital, 455 S. Main St., Orange 92868.
