Taft Elementary School parents and neighbors left the Santa Ana Unified School District meeting Tuesday night frustrated, but not without the board’s promise to solve traffic problems near the Keller Avenue campus.
“We’ve seen the presentations before,” said Bob Black, who chairs the Sandpointe Neighborhood Assn. “We’ve been to these meetings before--about four times. We’re looking for some activity.”
District staff members told the board they will begin negotiating with an adjacent church to lease a portion of land for a student drop-off zone--something parents and residents said they have been requesting for two years.
