Man Rescued After Four Days in Ditch

NATCHITOCHES, La. — A Miami man was recovering Saturday after spending four days in a water-filled ditch before he was rescued Friday.
Antonio L. Havard, 32, who broke both his legs, was found when a man surveying for fiber-optic cable heard him yelling for help.
Havard, whose sport-utility vehicle plunged off the road when he fell asleep, was in serious but stable condition after surgery at Natchitoches Parish Hospital, officials said.
