Re “Norton Seeks Faster Review of Energy Use on U.S. Land,” Aug. 8: The chairman of the Rocky Mountain Natural Gas Strategy Conference introduced Interior Secretary Gale A. Norton to the group as “someone who is looking out for the energy industry.”
Norton then announced the appointment of a mining lobbyist as director of external and intergovernmental relations. I love President Bush’s compassionate environmental policy.
