Recycling Center to Celebrate 5 Years

Oxnard will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its Del Norte Recycling Center today ) with contest giveaways and related activities.
Two local radio stations will broadcast from the site, where residents can recycle motor oil, car batteries, water-based paint and other household refuse. During the event, the center will offer a one-time rate of $1.25 per pound for aluminum cans.
Festivities will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 111 S. Del Norte Blvd. For more information, call 385-8012.
