Drowned Swimmer Is Found Off Bolsa Chica

A body believed to be that of a 23-year-old swimmer missing since Wednesday was found floating offshore at Bolsa Chica State Beach on Thursday night, lifeguard officials said.
The Westminster man had been bodyboarding at Huntington State Beach when he disappeared in the surf, authorities said. Companions called for help, and lifeguards launched an intensive search that lasted into the night and resumed Thursday morning, lifeguard supervisor Mike Brousard said.
About 7 p.m. Thursday, beachgoers spotted the body just offshore and summoned lifeguards from a nearby tower, Brousard said.
