Collectors Universe Posts $93,000 Loss for Quarter

Collectors Universe Inc., a Newport Beach collectibles company, reported a net loss of $93,000 for the second fiscal quarter ended Dec. 30, which included charges of $1.4 million for goodwill and stock compensation. A year ago, the company earned $509,000, or 2 cents a share, Revenue rose 23% to $12.1 million.
