* I commend you for publishing an unbiased, factual report about the sad situation in Northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey (“For Turkish Rebel Kurds, Disillusionment Replaces Passion for Battle,” Feb. 11). It is sad that young Kurdish people have to be fugitives in their own neighborhoods. Lack of trust among the parties after so many years of bloodshed is the main obstacle to peace and prosperity. Articles like this one that cover the difficulties, sentiments and hang-ups of all sides without labeling them as right or wrong are needed for the sides to understand and start feeling compassionate about each other.
