* “Family Ties to Clemency Cases Dog Clintons,” Feb. 23: Now Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton claims she made her brother Hugh Rodham give back $400,000 because he did nothing wrong. For eight years Hillary Clinton has denied any knowledge of, or participation in, any wrongdoing--over and over and over and over and over. When will New Yorkers realize they elected Lady Macbeth?

The year 2002 ought to be a very good one for new political faces. As to the faces we now have, I don’t know which are worse--the Republicans, for their mean-spirited, relentless pursuit of Bill and Hillary Clinton as a means of distraction, or the Democrats, who are allowing them to get away with it. A pox on both their houses.
