Body Is That of Homeless Woman

A woman’s body discovered by a jogger outside Palmdale has been identified as that of Carol Stacy Evjen, a 49-year-old homeless woman from the area, sheriff’s deputies said Friday.
Coroner’s officials said Evjen died of multiple traumatic injuries. Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death.
The body was found about 8:30 a.m. Sunday on Old Harold Road near Desert Oak Drive. Investigators said Evjen probably died the previous night.
