Toll Road Remedy

You have written about the difficulties in paying on the new toll roads (“Wanted: More Drivers on Toll Roads,” June 24). We have just returned from a driving trip in France, where tolls on the autoroutes can be paid by cash or credit card. At the manned stations, you hand your credit card to the attendant; at the unmanned ones, you slip the card into a slot. In both cases you receive your card and receipt in about five or six seconds. Orange County should look into this technology.
