Vintage Car Show Set for Garden Grove

A popular weekly event is the Friday night vintage car shows on the historic cobblestoned Main Street. An even bigger car display comes this Sunday, sponsored by Soroptimist International of Garden Grove.
More than 50 cars will compete for trophies from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with both ends of the two-block Main Street, just north of Garden Grove Boulevard, closed to traffic. Spokeswoman Marlene Pierce said the show will include a 1931 Ford Model A, a 1932 Ford Roadster, a 1955 Desoto Coronado and a 1967 Pontiac Firebird.
