Deal of the Week: Online Bookings

Hotels, airlines and Internet travel sellers, all suffering from the downturn in travel, are cooperating on deals for online customers. For instance, United Airlines is offering a free night (as part of a minimum two-night stay) at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts to customers who book flights on United’s Internet site by Nov. 27. A spokesman said all 204 Hyatts are participating. Visit https://www.ual.com for details. In another deal, skiers can earn 25,000 AAdvantage miles--enough for a round-trip domestic coach ticket--by booking American Airlines Vacations’ packages to Vail Resorts in Colorado through Travelocity. They must book by Nov. 30 and travel between Nov. 15 and Feb. 28. The deal is not good Dec. 20 to Jan. 1; other restrictions apply. Five-night packages from Los Angeles, including lodging and round-trip air fare, start at $445 per person, double occupancy, midweek.
