Man Pleads No Contest in Videotaped Abuse

A man who was videotaped abusing a former Santa Barbara City College student in Isla Vista has pleaded no contest to battery.
Adam De La Fuente of San Diego County entered the misdemeanor plea Wednesday. He faces up to six months in jail.
A videotape obtained by sheriff’s deputies in June showed a male former student at Santa Barbara City College being force-fed shots of rum, stripped naked and urinated on at an Isla Vista home in September 2000.
Seven others are charged with felony kidnapping and misdemeanor battery in the attack.
