Print Evidence Will Be Allowed at Stayner Trial

A Superior Court judge cleared the way for the introduction of fingerprint evidence in the upcoming trial of Yosemite murder suspect Cary Stayner.
Judge Thomas Hastings ruled that a separate hearing would not be necessary to determine if the fingerprints were admissible when Stayner goes to trial June 10.
Prosecutors want to introduce a fingerprint taken from a stamp they say Stayner used to mail a letter that led investigators to the body of 15-year-old Juli Sund, who was killed along with her mother, Carole, and family friend Silvina Pelosso, 16.
