Deal of the Week: Soaking Up Savings

The Oaks at Ojai, which bills itself as “the affordable spa,” is getting more affordable in October. From Oct. 1 to 25 the 46-room resort spa in Ojai is taking 25% off its published rates for guests who stay three nights or more. The deal marks its 25th anniversary. The published rates start at $155 per person per night, double occupancy, which includes lodging, three meals per day, a choice of 16 fitness classes and evening entertainment and seminars. (Taxes and a 14% service charge are extra.) Guests may choose one spa treatment--a Swedish massage, European facial or scalp massage--and pay $25; these treatments are usually $60 to $65.
