Water Supplier to Build Pipeline to Ocean

The county’s primary water supplier announced plans Monday to begin building a pipeline that will carry salty water away from underground basins to improve water quality in the region.
The 54-inch-diameter line will connect to an existing ocean outfall in Oxnard and allow for the discharge of treated municipal waste water and water with high saline levels. The 30-mile pipeline will be built over 10 years.
