Re “Airline Defends Banning Bush Guard From Flight,” Jan. 4: The arrogance of Secret Service agent Walid Shater has no place in our society in light of the events of Sept. 11. Since when does the job of protecting the president allow a person to use the “powers of the White House” when things don’t go his way?
I applaud the American Airlines pilot who inconvenienced just one person so that many other travelers could fly worry-free.
