Holiday Closures

Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The following schedule will be in effect in observance of the holiday:
* Offices: All city, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery and post offices will be closed.
* Libraries: Most libraries will be closed.
* Banks: Most banking institutions will be closed.
* Schools: Public schools will be closed.
* Public transportation: MTA buses will run on Saturday schedules. Metrolink will follow regular daily routes, but new schedules take effect Monday. They are on the Web site www.metrolinktrains.com or call (800) 371-LINK.
* Trash collection: City of Los Angeles collection will maintain regular pickup schedules.
