Slain Bartender Was Devoted Mother of 7

Police on Saturday identified the bartender and mother of seven who was shot to death in a Tustin bar in an apparent murder-suicide.
Police said Douglas Kissler, an estranged boyfriend, shot Janet Bielman several times in Godfather’s Bar on Friday before killing himself.
Co-workers, who are planning a fund to support Bielman’s children, called her a devoted mother who spent most of her free time shuttling the children, ages 2 to 17, to sports games and practices.
“She was just a wonderful person, a very hard-working mom,” said co-worker Lucy Heyliger. “She loved her job and people here loved her.”
Kissler, 42, was the father of Bielman’s 2-year-old, police said. Bielman, 38, was engaged to another man, friends said.
