Gang Member Guilty of Murdering 3 at Party

A jury convicted a gang member Wednesday of murdering three alleged gang members at a birthday party in Arleta last year.
Juan Guillen, 26, was found guilty of the Jan. 14, 2001, deaths of Joel Gonzalez, 27, of Arleta; Jesse Abel, 24, of Pacoima; and Jack Loutsios, 17, of North Hills.
During the three-week trial, Deputy Dist. Atty. Shellie Samuels presented three witnesses who testified Guillen was the shooter.
Sentencing is set for April 8.
