Man on Bicycle Dies in Collision With Car

A bicyclist was fatally injured when he was hit by a car early Friday, police said.
Marino Rafeala, 48, of Garden Grove was riding in the 8800 block of Garden Grove Boulevard about 3:45 a.m. when he collided with a car as its driver was pulling out of her driveway, police said.
“She heard something as she went to turn, but she never saw Mr. Rafeala,” said Garden Grove Police Sgt. Paul McInerny. “She said she knew she struck something, so she stopped.”
Rafeala died at the scene.
The driver was not cited.
