Car Hits Pole, Killing Driver

A Burbank man died Thursday after losing control of his car and slamming into a concrete light pole in Newport Beach.
Minh Tri Truong, 30, was driving an Acura Integra north on Coast Highway about 3:20 p.m. when he hit the pole near Prospect Street, a Newport Beach police spokesman said.
Truong was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was later pronounced dead.
