Sales Tax Vote to Help Hospital Is Pushed Back

A sales tax vote to help finance Natividad Medical Center will be held Dec. 2 instead of Oct. 7, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors has decided.

The board voted Tuesday to switch the date to avoid fallout and confusion from the gubernatorial recall election.

Measure Q asks county voters to boost the county sales tax by half a penny to help the center.
