It’s Time to Get Tough on Assault Weapons

Re “Weapons Seizure Is a Record,” Nov. 26:
All too often, gun bills we support are labeled “feel good” measures with no real effect.
The record state seizure of assault weapons in Laguna Niguel tells a different tale.
We applaud Atty. Gen. Bill Lockyer, for his prevention and intervention actions, and Dist. Atty. Tony Rackauckas.
And we challenge our Congress members to reverse their position and support the renewal and strengthening of our federal ban on assault weapons.
