Minivan Jumps Divider on Harbor; Man Dies

A man died Friday after his van jumped a divider on Harbor Boulevard, crossed three lanes of oncoming traffic and rammed an unoccupied bus shelter near Carriage Street in Santa Ana.
The accident occurred about 4 p.m. when Ludger Peralta, 48, of Santa Ana swerved to avoid traffic, officials said.
“The evidence indicates that he was traveling at a high rate of speed,” said police Sgt. Baltazar De La Riva.
