Greenlight Capital Inc.’s David Einhorn placed the winning bid in a charity auction for lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, head of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

Einhorn’s $250,100 bid topped 140 others in the auction on EBay Inc.’s Web site.
