Judge Rejects Bid to End Courtroom Camera Ban

A New York Supreme Court judge denied a bid by the cable television network Court TV to end a ban on cameras in the state’s courtrooms.
New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich said any change in the policy should be decided in the Legislature.
New York is one of nine U.S. states that does not allow cameras at trials.
