No Sale on Theater as Bidding Falls Short

An attempt to sell the Arcata Theater through the online auction site EBay failed. The bidding ended Friday. The owner of the theater was asking at least $455,000, but the highest bid was $255,100. Because the asking price was not met, the seller is not obligated to sell. The EBay listing has generated interest, and the property is still being shown, said Robert Morse of Bindel Realty.
