Acclaim Sees Loss in Quarter on Sales

Acclaim Entertainment Inc., publisher of video games such as “Turok,” expects to post a loss of $40 million to $50 million for the quarter ending in March, hurt by lower sales and higher costs, according to a federal filing.

Acclaim’s projected loss compares with a year-earlier profit of about $4 million, the Glen Cove, N.Y.- based company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Shares of Acclaim fell 12 cents to 64 cents on Nasdaq.
