California’s a Good Place to Do Business

Franco Fernandez’s comments about California’s supposedly anti-business environment (letter, Aug. 27) spur me to ask how many states he does business in. Over the last five years my company has done business in New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Tennessee, Colorado, Texas and, of course, California. I have always found your state’s employees to be helpful and hard-working and the required forms fairly simple and straightforward.

Perhaps Fernandez should listen to less Republican propaganda and do more direct research himself before criticizing his state. Or if he really wants to see a bloated, inefficient and confusing government mess he should try to do business in the worst state I’ve ever dealt with, Texas.
