Pedestrian Killed in Accident in Laguna Niguel

A 56-year-old woman died Thursday after being struck by a car in Laguna Niguel, authorities said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was crossing Alicia Parkway near Pacific Park Drive about 7 p.m. when she was hit.
The woman, who was not in a crosswalk when she was struck, died en route to a hospital.
The accident is not considered a hit and run, and the driver was not cited, but it remains under investigation, said Lt. Hayward Miller of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
