Holiday Closures

Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The following schedule will be in effect in observance of the holiday:

* Public schools, community colleges, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will not hold classes.

* Mail will not be delivered, and post offices will be closed.

* County, state and federal offices will be closed.

* The following city offices will be closed: Aliso Viejo, Anaheim, Brea, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Lake Forest, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Placentia, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, Santa Ana and Seal Beach.

* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed.

* Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on their normal schedules.

* Metrolink trains will operate on a reduced schedule. For information call 1-800-371-LINK or www.metrolinktrains.com.

* County libraries and some city libraries will be closed.

* Many banks and savings and loans will be closed; check with your local branch.

* Trash will be collected on the normal schedule.
