Bush’s Visit to Atlanta

Perhaps the real reason President Bush went to Georgia was not to honor Martin Luther King Jr. at all. In the very last paragraph of your article (“Bush on Southern Whirl,” Jan. 16) you state that before Bush returned to Washington, he collected $1.3 million at a reelection fundraiser in Atlanta. A nice afternoon of fundraising was had by all (the Republicans, at least!).
