4 Injured When Ride Fails at County Fair

Four people suffered minor injuries on a ride at the San Diego County Fair when a guide wheel failed. Two of the injured were treated and released from a hospital, while the other two were treated at the fair.
The accident occurred on the Hydro Slide about 2 p.m. Saturday. The ride was shut down, then was cleared to reopen Sunday by a state inspector.
