Strikers Protest Cost of Fuel in Oil-Rich Nation

Nigeria’s biggest labor federation launched a four-day nationwide strike to protest the rising cost of fuel, shutting down huge swaths of Lagos, the country’s largest city.
There was no immediate impact on the flow of oil from Nigeria, the fifth-biggest source of U.S. oil imports.
Banks, stores and schools were shuttered. In the city of Kano, police said a 12-year-old boy was killed in clashes between police and protesters.
