Motorist Hits Another on 55 Freeway, Dies

A Tustin man died early Wednesday from injuries sustained in a collision on the Costa Mesa Freeway, authorities said.
Alberto Galan, 23, died after the crash, which occurred about 2 a.m. in the northbound lanes, just south of 17th Street.
Authorities said he was driving at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a pickup, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
Evidence at the scene indicated Galan had been drinking, authorities said.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
