All about Oprah

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks for Mary McNamara’s article on Oprah [“O to a Higher Power,” Dec. 11]. Her writing is poignant, clear, descriptive, and created a stunning literary portrait of the vision and person that Ms. Winfrey is. I, as well as multitudes of Southern Californians and national readers, thank her for pursuing writing as a career goal. It is truly a blessed calling for her.
