Re “Bush Shifts Pension Stance,” Feb. 17: It is my understanding that raising the cap on Social Security taxes would cure the shortfall and President Bush’s privatization plot would be unnecessary. Am I the only person who sees that he’s just trying to give a gift to his friends on Wall Street at the expense of younger voters?
