State drags feet on claims

Re “Act Fast -- or the State Will,” Oct. 27
If you have a claim for property with the state, don’t be so quick to spend your newfound fortune. I filed my claim almost a year ago and still have not received my money. When you inquire, the best explanation you can get is that “they are working on it.” E-mail inquiries go unanswered. I am sure, as a result of your article, you have just given this department license to have even more excuses for their poor response time.
