Car bartering skills of singer Urban

Country singer and recent Grammy winner Keith Urban was in North Wilkesboro, N.C., Friday to make good on a five-year-old handshake agreement.

Urban appeared at the Specialty Car Co., where he bought a 1994 Chevy Impala in 2001 using his first royalty check from his hit “But for the Grace of God.”

“The dealer took $2,000 off the asking price, as long as I agreed to make an appearance at his dealership some time in the future,” Urban said in a written statement. “It’s taken long enough, but I’ve finally got back to town to settle up.”
