Suicide Car Bomb Kills Canadian, 2 Civilians

From Times Wire Reports

A suicide car bomb exploded near a Canadian military convoy in a southern Afghan city, killing two civilians and a Canadian Foreign Affairs official and wounding 13 people, officials said.

A purported Taliban spokesman, Qari Mohammed Yousuf, called Associated Press and claimed responsibility.

There have been about 25 suicide bombings in the last four months in Afghanistan, a relatively new tactic for militants here and one that has reinforced fears that this country may see more assaults modeled on those in Iraq.
