The following schedule will be in effect today in observance of Martin Luther King Day:
Schools: Public schools, community colleges, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will be closed.
Public transportation: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on normal schedules. Metrolink trains will operate on a reduced schedule. Information: (800) 371-LINK or www.metrolinktrains.com
Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.
Libraries: County and most city facilities will be closed.
Banks: Most will be closed.
Trash collection: Trash will be collected on normal schedule.
Government: County and federal offices and courts will be closed. Many city offices will be closed.
