When it comes to soccer, don’t forget Koreans

Do you know that there is a very large Korean community in Southern California [“Goal!” by Jack Leonard, June 15]? And that Koreans are probably one of the biggest fans of football (soccer for those who care)? They probably outnumber the U.S. fans in Southern California.

I don’t see any mention that Korean fans held a gathering at the Staples Center Sunday for their second match in the World Cup. The Staples Center! And it was full to capacity! Now that’s a draw.

There was a crowd gathering in Koreatown and in Garden Grove at the Arirang Market as well.
