A gunman killed a Swedish cameraman covering a proIslamist rally in Mogadishu. Freelance cameraman Martin Adler was filming a rally led by the Islamic Courts Union, which took control of the city from warlords June 5. Witnesses said he was at the front of a crowd of thousands.
